The Nook is more than a unique hanging chair, it's a space in of itself, a place to escape to, reflect and relax. It references a lot of very New Zealand values such as a love of the outdoors and clean, modest lines.

The Nook is designed to sit outside under your favourite tree or veranda, probably at your holiday house at the beach or in the bush (forest). It is engineered to handle New Zealand's harsh sunlight and changeable weather and can hold up to 140 kilograms. We guarantee the materials and workmanship for 5 years.

An enormous amount of work has gone into the ergonomics of the chair and with its floating form, well cut pattern and cushioned seat you can comfortably spend all day in your Nook!

Designed by Otago Polytechnic Design School graduate Amanda Hinton with a lot of input from classmate Joel Broad, the Nook won the inaugural Design Entrepreneur Competition that the Otago Polytechnic Design School now hold annually. A change in personal circumstances has seen Amanda license the design to Vanilla Design Store and we are really excited about its potential

Dimensions
1100mm wide by 1300mm long. The rope length is re-adjustable to suit the height required.

Fabric and Colours
Made from marine grade canvas, the Nook is built to last. This premium fabric will outlast cheaper Chinese fabrics by a long way. We have listed our 5 standard colours below but there is an enormous range available so feel free to request a custom colour at no additional cost. The covers are also changeable should one become damaged or if you wish to update to a new colour or pattern.

Delivery
The covers are made to order so it can take up to 4 weeks to receive your Nook.
